Game & Gun offers handmade stocks for hunting and sporting shotguns and rifles. Our stockmakers bring more than 35 years of experience working with fine guns from makers such as Holland & Holland, Boss and Purdey, as well as modern sporting guns from Perazzi, Browning, Beretta, Zoli and Rizzini.
From new made-to-measure stocks and forends to restoration and adjustment of existing woodwork, every piece is approached individually.
It starts with the right piece of wood.
Our stock blank inventory contains more than 200 individual pieces of walnut, ranging from Grade 3 to Exhibition Grade. The choice is yours — because the grain, colour and character of the wood become part of the finished gun.

WALNUT SELECTION
A made-to-measure stock begins with the shooter.
Personal measurements are combined with careful observation of how you mount, handle and shoot the gun. From there, the stock is developed around the individual shooter, the intended style of shooting and the type of hunting or competition.
The shooter
Measurements are only part of the process. We also observe how you mount, handle and shoot the gun in order to establish the dimensions that suit you.
The wood
Choose your own blank from more than 200 pieces of walnut, ranging from Grade 3 through to Exhibition Grade.
The shape
Pistol grip, semi-pistol grip or straight hand — together with details such as checkering, butt treatment, recoil pad and finish.
The fitting
During the work, you are able to follow the process closely and experience the stock at mid-way fittings before the final work is completed.
A genuine made-to-measure stock is not created from theory alone. It comes from observing the shooter and combining those observations with years of experience.

Alongside completely new made-to-measure stocks and forends, we carry out restoration, fitting, adjustment and repair of existing stocks.
Refurbishing & refinishing
Restoration of worn stocks, renewed oil finishes and careful refinishing of existing woodwork.
Checkering
New or restored checkering to improve both grip and the visual character of the stock.
Fitting & adjustment
Extending, shortening, oil bending and other adjustments to improve the relationship between shooter and gun.
Pads & adjustable combs
Leather-covered recoil pads, rubber recoil pads and adjustable comb solutions.
Repairs
Repair of broken or cracked stocks with careful attention to strength, appearance and the original character of the gun.
