Game & Gun offers traditional hand engraving on fine guns and smaller personal pieces such as rings and watches.
Our engraving work is carried out using traditional hammer and chisel techniques, with the possibility of incorporating fine details in gold and silver.

Every new engraving starts on paper.
For new engraving work, we begin by translating your ideas and wishes into a sketch. Once the design has been approved, the engraving itself begins. The timeframe depends entirely on the scale and complexity of the project.

A design is prepared for your approval before any engraving work begins.
Hand engraving
Once approved, the design is engraved using traditional hand tools and methods.
Small details may take only a few days. Complete receiver engraving and larger projects may require several months.
Old engraving can be brought back to life.
Refurbishment of existing engraving is one of the more common types of work in our workshop. Engraving on ribs and barrels in particular can become worn over time, or lose definition during preparation and sanding before refinishing.
When engraving on barrels or ribs is refurbished, new bluing is normally required afterwards.
